ABOUT ME: I am ROSIE!!! You can call me RORO!! I am an out there, bubbly, interested in everyone and everything kinda gal!

I am about to take off on a solo adventure to America and heading to the Sola Eclipse Festival in Oregon with a bus load of new buddies! Its going to be so amazing, if you have nothing to do for a week in August, you should considerit!

I am amazed with world and all the things and people in it constantly. I am small and don't take up much space. I am very aware and respectful of peoples space, things and homes. I love yoga, and I also love beer. You could say I really believe in balance :) I love to smile and laugh.

In Newcastle, NSW, AUSTRALIA I run a business with my Sister in the fashion industry! We love our two boutiques in Newcastle and Melbourne. It is so special for meto have a job I love and get to work so closely with my sister :)

I am looking forward to making some new friends while solo in LA, San Fran and Portland!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have never couch surfed before and I have always wanted to! Its on my bucket list and I would love to tick some things off before i turn 30 in a few years.

It would be so great to make some new friends of course, but also get some insider tips on local places to see, eat at, adventure around etc!!

There are so so many people in this big, giant world, and if you can do a few things differently that mean you get to build some new relationships a littler quicker than normal, why not!?

Interests

I work full time, so I love talking and helping people all day at my job managing a fashion boutique. On the weekends, I love to go out and have some beers, have big feasts with my friends, go bowling, go to the movies etc!

I also love nature, I love going for long walks on the beach (its true -I really do!! haha) going to farmers and flea markets, spending time with my sister.

I am a coffee junky!! I love to find really special cafes to start to morning!

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently reading into the wild (also a favourite movie and soundtrack!!)

Books: life of pi, little prince, thousand splendid suns, the kite runner, memoirs of a geisha, David sedaris etc. I love historical fictions

Movies: terentino, ponyo (basically anything studio ghibli), into the wild, Walter Mitty, waking life, docos!! I have just become obsessed with SBS on demand which is like an alternative netflix. really interesting programs that maybe dont make you feel quite as useless if you spend a day watching them haha

MUSIC: I listen to music ALL day EVERY day. At the moment I am going through a bit of a DAD fase - bob dylan, paul simon, van morrison etc. But I love a lot of different music, especially different world music!! My favourite bands are HIATUS KAIYOTE, Brian jonestown Massacre, and Jeff Buckley xxxxx

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think one of the hardest and most rewarding things I have done was climb an inactive volcano in Indonesia!! So special!! There was an amazing lake in the volcano and the stars were so stunning!

I taught english in Chiang Mai in Thailand a few years ago, that was really amazing!! I would love to do that agina one day!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Anything!! I can teach you some card games, recommend some amazing movies, cook dinners and breakfasts, make coffees, make bloody marys!! Anything! I can stay a little more out of your way if you would prefer! I would just love to feel safe, make some new friends, share some experiences and offer you a place in return if you are ever passing through Newcastle!
