About Me

This is my first solo trip, I left home mid November and I am away for 9 months, hitting 4 new continents. I love change and new experiences. I have two younger sisters and have had to change my definition of ‘missing someone’ since I left.
In September I will start university in England- studying bioengineering. I don’t know what will happen after or even if I will stick to this degree. I am very easy going which makes decisions frustrating because I usually like all the options.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about couch surfing from a friend. It sounds like an amazing way to find out about an area, to meet new people and to save money in the process.

Music, Movies, and Books

I aspire to be a book person, but I’m not- in the last 5 years I hae read about 5 books. Two of which were hilariously clever; The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared and The Accidental Further Adventures of the Hundred-Year-Old Man. There was a great quote quoted in the first book- “Things are what they are, and whatever will be, will be.”
It’s a running joke between my friends and I that I watch more trailers than movies. But here are a few I do love: Room, Kubo and the 2 strings, 12 angry men,
I am an avid Netflix show/ special consumer: Grace and Frankie, Derry Girls, The Good Place, Salt Fat Acid Heat and more that I browse through. Nanette by Hannah Gadsby was amazing, I have watched it numerous times.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My favourite achievement is completing my Duke of Edinburgh award. I has the best time and completed:
•6 months kick boxing.
•12 months volunteering lifeguarding for a disabled swimming club.
•18 months of piano lessons.
•4 days, 3 nights hiking around North Wales.
•1 week residential (this turned into 6 weeks volunteering in a special needs orphanage in Lima, Peru).

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning anything. New experiences and people excite me (does that sound weird?).
