About Me

Hey, Nice to meet you! I'm a European living in London and studying Environmental Technology MSc at Imperial College. Originally from Newcastle Upon Tyne I'm loving living in such a great European capital and all it has to offer!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a great way to meet local people whilst travelling. In fact, it is the only way! And not just to meet local people but to learn from them about the places we visit.

It falls inline with a sharing economy, the idea being that we can benefit from staying with another person, speaking with them and understanding their way of life.

I'm on couchsurfing to enhance by travel experience, it is the only way to travel 'like a local' and I look forward to sharing time and experience with my hosts.

Interests

I'm very interested in sustainability, clean energy development and how we can all live within the means of the worlds resources. Smart resilient cities will play a key role in this with the majority of the worlds population living in urban areas.

Aside from this I love to travel, like all of us! I've been really enjoying Scandinavia recently and particularly hanging out with interested and engaged local people and learning from them.

Sports and outdoor activities has always played a big part in my live alongside good food and a great night out!:)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music movies and books: I have such a diverse taste and enjoy most sorts. Books- I liked reading Hemmingway recently and also factually written pieces on how we teach a sustainable economy.

Films: Wes Anderson films have to be my favourites

Music: anything with a beat that goes on until the early hours :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It may not seem so amazing but last year I ran my first marathon in Berlin. Such an amazing and positive experience; the drinks tasted so good afterwards!

Teach, Learn, Share

We learn so much from each other, and travel allows us to engage with other cultures, learn from other's perspectives, share our own stories and teach ourselves how to be open minded.

My reason for travelling is to enhance my own understanding of the world through shared experience.

I love to learn from the people I stay with and the places I go.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A fun, easy going and enjoyable person, I can share a good conversation and a drink of your taste!

I can tell you about my experiences in London, Newcastle, Europe, Central America, Southeast Asia and many more! I can cook with you, as a chef or sous-chef, and run a (very amateur but fun) yoga class if you like!
