I was doing the standard backpackers experience of staying in hostels, but have found you don't really get to know the locals or the culture that way, You just meet a whole lot of Australians.

I am studying psychology and criminology. I am a strong believer in social welfare and mental health support and hope to one day turn this into a living. Until then i spend my time volunteering at a local helpline for troubled youths.
