ABOUT ME

There are some things to know.... or find out... I like stories!

PHILOSOPHY

To live in a reality where normalcy is an oddity.... Things in my life are "normal" and can be routine, but I love to escape it when I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

There are magic things about every where. I want to learn and share them!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first time to France I met a fidgety man on a plane. His name was Michelle. He lived outside of the town I was to be living in. I knew no one and had no place to stay that night. He offered me his wife's art studio to sleep in that night. I accepted. We got off the plane in Marseilles and we drove for an hour or so. The country side changed from Mediterranean to cherry orchards. Ancient towns spotted the road side with crooked houses and narrow streets. I slept quietly and at peace that night. The next morning he drove to my town thru the back way or what my mum would call "the green way"... More treasures popped up as we took our time. I was nervous at first, but then he turned out to be a man of sadness and happy magic all in one....

Interests

Oddities and magic... the outside and the insides of a city or forest... The stitches that holds a place together. Natural and manmade...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There was this one time I was paddling around in the Sea of Cortez. It was a six day adventure camping on peopless beaches under a blanket of stars. One day we were in the middle of glassy water when just 40 feet from us a beautiful Grey Whale came up to say hello. That whole trip is where I go for my happy place...
