I'm a Canadian who has been living in London UK for the past five years (hard to believe how fast time goes). I've spent a great deal of time traveling but prefer to do it when I know people in the country or city I'm going to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't done official Couchsurfing yet (ie. through this site) but really believe in the concept. I have definitely slept on many floors/sofas throughout the years and returned the favour for friends.

A few months ago I recommended that my cousin and his friend who were traveling through Europe try this site. They met some fantastic people in Manchester and Amsterdam along the way. I'm starting to get a bit more free time coming up to the summer, so I thought I'd try and travel and meet some interesting people on my weekends.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite movie is Adam's Rib. It's a classic. I tend to enjoy foreign films for the stories. I love reading but have to read a lot of stuff for my research at the moment. My favourite author is Milan Kundera and have a fondness for hardcover classic novels. Oh, don't get me started on music. I'm an avid gig-goer of all genres of music. I've seen Femi Kuti front row twice, saw Amy Winehouse at her last semi-sober gig in London and rocked out to Supergrass at a private 200 person gig a few months ago.
