ABOUT ME
Living the first 18 years of the my life in the same house has made me something of a wanderlust. I can't really say I know who exactly who I am except that I'm happiest drifting from place to place, meeting new people and forming new bonds. I am not the most talkative person, but I sincerely enjoy listening to others tell their stories and reflecting on the lessons that come out of them.
PHILOSOPHY
I'll take a cue from my man KRS- ONE: "Your addiction to your needs and your wants is what causes problems in your life. Make sure you got whatcha need. Put at a safe distance all the things that you want. It's wants that get you into trouble." Oftentimes the simplest advice is the most potent!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm currently unable to host surfers, but I would love to share my enthusiasm about L.A. with anyone who stops on through this fair city :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, I've had three experiences couch surfing, all of which were overwhelmingly positive and different in kind. I hope to return the karma when I finally settle down somewhere long enough to host.
Interests
I study Chinese, try to read Spanish and French novels and poetry. I like running, art, cooking, music, musing, reading, writing, and just wandering around. Really, though, I am happiest when engaged in frank conversations with people- when two or more people reach the point at which they feel comfortable letting down their guard and revealing who they really are.
