I have a strong passion for exploring new places and meeting new faces. For me, traveling isn’t so much about the destination, it’s more about the connection I make with the land, myself and the people I meet along the way.

Although I haven’t hosted or surfed through this app yet, I’ve met many travelers organically and had them stay with me and vice versa. I am currently traveling through Europe and then Central America all summer and I want to get out of the Hotel/Airbnb/hostel paradigm and become more acquainted with the CS community. My favorite moments while traveling were always the ones spent with the locals.

I love getting out of my comfort zone, immersing myself in a culture, observing and understanding their way of life.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

In 2015 I bought a one way ticket to Cuba and traveled aimlessly for about a month. In 2018 (3 years later) I went back to Cuba just to try and find the random locals I’ve photograph. My mission was to give them a printed photo of themselves and reconnect with Cuba one photo at a time.

I spent a week roaming aimlessly trying to find them, asking random people on the streets if they recognized the person in the photo. Surprisingly, I found a handful of people. It was truly a rewarding experience to see how happy they were to get a printed photo of themselves 3 years later.

It’s an ongoing project that I’m very passionate about, and I’m planning on revisiting many other countries to do the same thing.
