Hello, I have never used Couchsurfing as a surfer or a host. I just decided to make a profile might try and be a surfer and possibly a host later in the future.
I love travel, stand-up comedy, Brazilian jiujitsu and learning languages.
I've lived and worked in the USA (6 months), Spain (1 month), Australia (1 year) Japan (4 years) and South Korea (2 1/2 years).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think its an intriguing concept, I've heard many stories from friends, the majority positive.

Interests

I've always wanted to travel to any and every country since I was a kid.
I've been to some countries to travel, live, work and I'd love to go to many more, especially away from cities in which I've mainly been.
I love all martial arts and i currently do no-gi BJJ, its a non-striking grappling sport in which the aim is to submit your opponent, it's great exercise and great to challenge yourself while learning to defend yourself.
I love learning languages; I'm not fluent by any means but the languages I'm still learning in order of strength Japanese, Korea, Spanish. Even if I never return to these countries it's never a waste of time, learning languages is fascinating and good brain activity.

All sorts just ask.
Music - big drum 'n bass fan.
Movies - all sorts, all genres, wide range.
Books - non-fiction mainly autobiographies and scientific books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bungy jumped 4 times.
Skydived twice (not from that high though).
Ran with the bulls in Pamplona (although I don't agree with bullfighting and slightly regret running on principal and safety).
Worked on a cruise ship teaching English for 3 months, it sailed round the world.
