About Me
Hey! I'm Ross. I've just graduated from the University of Leeds in England. I lived in Shanghai for a year, have traveled around quite a bit of China and South Asia and am exploring Eastern Europe this summer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting interesting people when traveling is often the highlight of any trip I've been on! I've heard great things about Couchsurfing and want to give it a go so that I can experience a local's life in a culture I've never been in.
Interests
Listening to music, especially when it's live I can play the flute and am learning how to play the guitar and ukulele. Reading. Watching films. Cycling. Learnig Chinese. And traveling of course!

Music, Movies, and Books
The Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie, Stereophonics, Kygo, Alt J, Simon and Garfunkel, Bastille, Oasis, Foo Fighters, Modest Mouse, Fleetwood Mac, The Emerald Armada. Anything that's pretty chilled out.
Too many films and books to list! But Full Metal Jacket and Roots and two of my favorites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitch hiked in China for a while. Was unbelievably good. The people that were kind enough to pick me up (even though they couldn't understand why I didn't just get a bus!) were so generous and interesting to talk to. Loved it!
Teach, Learn, Share
Where ever I go I would really like a host that can help me try the local food, learn some of the language and even learn how to cook a meal or two if possible! Listening to some live music would also be fantastic.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Happy to help the host practice English if they are learning. Hosts that want to talk about traveling stories and experiences, or learn about Irish/British culture would be cool.
