About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travelling solo around Eastern Europe for the Summer. Hoping to meet lots of locals to best understand your world..

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ross.mills2

About me:
I like to think I'm a fun and helpful guy, but everyone says that. I like spontaneity and going off the beaten track. Want to experience and learn as much as I can in as many places and cultures as possible. I learn so much from meeting the most varied people from all different ways of life.

The best way to know me is to meet me yourself.

For other travellers:
Even if I am unable to host you, I will still try my best to either meet you for a little while or advise you on places to go or help you out in some way.

For hosts:
If you are thinking of hosting me, then I feel free to ask me any questions, no matter what they are, before I arrive. Hope to meet you soon :)

Travel So Far:
ASIA
I tried my best to avoid being a completely generic 19 year old on a year out. For some reason I thought hitch hiking across half the world (Beijing - UK) might have helped but sadly it doesn't seem to have worked.

I'm still pretty much the same person as before but the only difference is that I now have the odd crazy travelling story to share. Unfortunately, due to my friend and I getting robbed in Kazakhstan, I lost the camera and all the memory cards with any photos on, so i now have 0 photos from my long travels :(

AFRICA
Fortunately this time, no camera was stolen :) I volunteered in South-East Uganda for 7 weeks, living in a small village as part of a 5-person team. Met some incredible characters, and opened my eyes to Africa.

From Uganda, flew to South Africa and then explored what Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia had to offer both in the days and nights.

SOUTH AMERICA
Sooo much fun and met so many great people. Great food too of course!

Carnival in Rio, Iguazu, Buenos Aires, Atacama Desert, Salt Flats, La Paz, Jungle, Titicaca, Machu Pichu, Lima, Santa Marta (Paradise!) and Medellin!

If you are thinking about going to any of these places, I will gladly give you some tips/suggestions.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have both been a guest at many incredible people's homes, as well as having hosted some interesting characters myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very good experience everywhere I've been. Met some really cool people who i'd definitely want to meet again! The best part of it is getting closer to seeing and understanding another's persons culture.
