I am an adventurous 21 year old who has high ambitions. Im sure a lot of 21 year olds say that, and I won't be the first or last. I love music, movies, spending time with friends, the outdoors, books, League of Legends, video games, arcade everything, space, deep topics and staying up late. Im an Eagle Scout who has spent the majority of his working career in a variety of customer service based jobs, including a Cook, Waiter, Umpire, Camp Counselor, Program Director, Sales Rep, and more. I did theatre and music (band and choir) for a long time, I play piano and trumpet, and I am a tech junkie. I love hearing peoples stories, because everyone is different, and we've all seen and heard and experienced so many different things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Not gonna lie, I joined because if I ever want to travel somewhere and save some money, I feel like this is the way to do it. As a college student, I don't have a great deal of extra funds, but I started this account studying abroad in Europe, and the goal is to see as much as I can before I leave. After that, it'll be something I can keep in my back pocket in case I ever need it, and maybe help out some others along the way and pay it forward a little.

Interests

I feel like this is basically covered in the "About Me" section... but it makes me realize I didn't really explain my background, so I'll do that here instead.

I was born in California (Walnut Creek, specifically), and lived there until I was 4. A grand majority of my family still lives in a variety of California locations, so I know the area decently well. When I was 4, my family moved to Colorado. I've lived there ever since, excluding when Im at college in Hays, KS. I have 2 younger siblings, a sister and a brother, 2 parents, and 5 grandparents (divorce and step grandmother). My family is all very musical, but also very practical and fairly conservative on most things. I'm the bit of the loose cannon of the household, and am usually the more liberally minded one, but not excessively so.

I'm not generally one to pick favorites - I enjoy a lot of different types of entertainment, media and literature, and I hate sorting through to pick.

Off the top of my head some standouts are:

Movie: Not a chance I'm narrowing this one down...
Music: Depends on genre, but I enjoy a lot of Dance, Pop, Rock, Instrumental, Soul, and some folk

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've saved someones life with the Heimlich maneuver. I've slept in a snow cave I made out of snow in single digit temps. I've been on the Price is Right and shaken hands with Drew Carey. I once smuggled a professional trumpet player across a state border in the early hours of the morning. I once got kicked out of the Smithsonian into a back alley in the pouring rain. I once almost had my life ended by a stampede of charging elementary school aged children and a single father. I once won a dance off in a bar. I got to see Josh Gad and the original cast of Book of Mormon in NY (minus Andrew Rannells, we had his understudy). I once drove a truck through a garage door... it was my best friend's truck. And his garage door.
