About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This community is very near and dear to my heart. I traveled for six months in SE Asia and CS profoundly shaped my experience. The kindness, generosity, and openness I experienced through CS was deeply moving. There is a purity at the heart of CS-- it is a community shaped around reciprocity, giving, connection, unity. While at the moment, I am no longer traveling nor am I in a position to host anyone, my experiences with CS continue to color the lens through which I see the world. I feel confident that I will once again become an active member of this community when the time is right.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My practice is to find the amazing in the ordinary :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my cooking and baking with you-- my culinary knowledge is mostly within the realm of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free. I am also learning about essential oils and different plant medicines. I have professional experience in organic gardening and farming. I have studied many forms of spirituality including Hinduism and Yogic philosophy and practice, Buddhist philosophy and practice, sound-healing and chanting. I love to share conversations about Love :)

I am always looking for ways to deepen my practices. I also would like to learn more about natural building. I am open to all new things especially if it means stepping out of my comfort zone-- that is where the growth is!

What I Can Share with Hosts

First and foremost I am a clean and respectful guest. I am social, enjoy meeting new people and celebrating human connection but I am not a "partier", at least not of the drinking variety. I gravitate towards peace and simplicity.

I would love to cook for you and with you. I love to share food with people. I really enjoy vegan, gluten-free cooking and baking. I would like to learn more about raw.

I am a student of yoga and meditation. I am also currently studying sound-healing, chanting, essential oils, and plant healing. I have also lived in a "intentional community" or co-op and could share information about my experience. I am passionate about and have worked in organic agriculture-- I am always looking for opportunities to share my farming/gardening skills and learn more!
