About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Hey! I'm working as an electrical engineer and looking for places I'd like to move internationally!

ABOUT ME

I love to be spontaneous and travel often. I have played percussion for over a decade. I love to cliff jump, hike, bicycle everywhere, and cook lots of noms. Let's whip something delicious up! I like to try new recipes. If you want to know anything else, just ask.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I both host and surf, but I've hosted far more than I've surfed.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted over 100 people in Portland, Oregon.

I've surfed up the US East Cost, in Vancouver BC, Seattle, a few islands in Hawaii, Scotland, and Ireland.

Interests

Scuba diving, science, physics, percussion, renewable energies, hiking, outdoors, sports, cliff jumping, mountain climbing, bicycle riding, rock climbing, hosting, and traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Comedies are my favorites. The classics still crack me up the most like Airplane, but Elf is another top favorite. Any music but country. 90's music is always fun.

I read non-fiction almost exclusively. Mostly adventure books lately: A walk in the woods, Into the wild, into thin air, in a sunburned country, and working through a short history of everything right now.
Medium sized short stories are my favorite fiction like Cask of Amontillado, Most Dangerous Game, or dense reads like Heart of Darkness. I claim this, but on my shelf sits Earth by Jon Stewart

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In August 2014 I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro!

This was part of my two month trip installing solar panels in rural schools and medical clinics in Tanzania.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to do the rubiks cube.
I can share some swahili, and insult you in many languages.
I'd love to learn how to dance and ride a motorcycle. Hopefully not simultaneously.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Laughs, strange facts, good conversation, physics, math, chemistry, solving rubik's cubes, and probably good beer.

Countries I’ve Visited

Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Barbados, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Poland, Puerto Rico, Saint Lucia, Scotland, Sweden, Tanzania, Turkey, United States, United States Minor Outlying Islands, Virgin Islands, British, Virgin Islands, U.S.

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
