About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experiencing the Improbabilities

PHILOSOPHY

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble-makers. The round heads in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status-quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. But the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do. "

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I figure i could use a couch during my travels (and meeting the locals and sharing stories/experiences is half of travelling anyway). On the other side, I imagine hosting is like getting the travel experience as delivery. I would love to meet new people and cultures by inviting them to my home.
So; welcome, one and all.

Interests

My passions are mostly as fickle as the summer breeze, but there are two that I unconditionally maintain; traveling and the altruistic advancement of humanity. Thats my motto actually; advance humanity altruistically... well that, and 'everybody wang chung tonight'.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Built an all electric sidecar motorcycle.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a big fan of open source education... What do I have to offer from my years of higher learning? I studied this and that but ultimately took a path of business studies, which I found to be quite mundane and thouroughly misguided. I know tid-bits of world history but could never hope to be as great a source as "Cartoon History of the Universe". I studied some art but found that I had no talent in it. I am working on electric vehicle applications with engineers who far surpass my knowledge (and often times intellect) so that would be as useful as a student teaching a student. I've always had a natural inclination toward the sciences, but some concepts are beyond my grasp... damn you quantum physics. I can teach you to snowboard, race a car, ride a motorcycle, rock-climb (although i am not so good since my motorcycle accident... actually maybe you should skip the motorcycle lesson), play chess... really there isn't much technique just keep practicing is all it takes... and of course I know English. Not so much the rules that govern the language, but if you'd like a conversation partner I am the guy. So really, I am the jack of all trades master of none sort.

I have a bucket list that I would greatly appreciate help with; Martial Art, Foreign Language, Go, and Irish Drinking Songs are the most important at the moment... Any educators with a couch out there?

Always love to talk up some philosophy... not while drinking though, those two things just don`t mix.
Or do they?
