I’ve always wanted to travel but got stuck in the comfort and security of a dull office job for longer than I care to admit! Have now finally taken the leap and am off travelling starting with South America and then on to Australia.

I'm reliable and trustworthy and would always behave as I’d expect guests to in my own house. I can be shy at first but once I get to know people I'm more open. I'm happy to plan well in advance or do things on the spur of the moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking to meet people from different backgrounds and life experiences while I go out on my own adventure. Seeing how people really live rather than just hostels and campsites would be awesome!

Interests

I love travelling and seeing new places, particularly short city breaks to off the beaten track destinations.

Gigs and music festivals are one of my biggest passions. I've been to Reading Festival & Latitude 3 times, Creamfields, Secret Garden Party, Isle of Wight & Glastonbury twice and Leeds and Camper Calling once! Some of my favourite gigs have been The Rolling Stones, You Me at Six, Babyshambles, The Libertines, Gorillaz, The Streets, The Prodigy and so many more.

I'm interested in cars, particularly anything old or unusual. I drive a 1986 VW Scirocco :)

I also like going out with friends, playing pool and darts and watching Northampton Saints (Rugby).

I'm happy listening to most genres of music and am always open to recommendations of artists and bands I haven’t heard before.

I should read more often but never seem to find time for it. A couple of books I’ve enjoyed are Voyageur by Robert Twigger and Blood River by Tim Butcher.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to the London 2012 Olympics and seeing Usain Bolt run!

Exploring Morocco, especially climbing a massive sand dune in the desert and seeing shooting stars.

Really loved doing a skydive!
