I once had a job taking baby passport photos. Starting from babies, I worked my way up in the industry and found my footing as an assistant burger photographer who ensured the buns were steaming and the sesame seeds were glistening. Impressed by my prolific resume of baby passport photos, the editor-in-chief of The Gateway student newspaper hired me on the spot as the photo editor.

Then I finished my master's in political science. The kinds of research questions I am interested in are less "What would a better world look like?" kinds of questions, and more like: "Why do certain political events happen?" questions. The two are related though.

Now I work as a researcher in Toronto for a start up that makes predictive legal software using artificial intelligence.
