About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I need to experience the world. I need to experience the amazing things it has to offer, and the amazing people that live on it. I am a photographer, and have a desire to capture my experiences, big or small.
ABOUT ME
I am 6'3" and 190 lbs. 23 years old. I am athletic, and excercise nearly every day. I run. Frequently and far. I have my own photography business, which I get paid to take peoples pictures. I enjoy the ones I don't get paid to take more, because I have no preset objective. I respect my body, my brain, and my heart. I like to share my experiences with others and take part in others too. I am pretty much sining whenever I can. Despite all of the crap that happens from day to day, life is an amazing gift and I try my best to not take that for granted.
PHILOSOPHY
I live my life to love others. I am serious about my faith, but do not try and press it upon others. I feel that each person has something they can bring to the table.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am willing to host people who are traveling through Grand Rapids for whatever reason. Couchsurfing is something I have done before I even knew about this site, and I was floored when I found out. This helps maximize traveling options for ALL participants. I also love traveling and couchsurfing is a great way to save money and meet quality people simultaneously. You can't have too many friends.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Carson City, NV: March 2006
Stayed for a week in the Lake Tahoe area. Snowboarded at Kirkwood, Mt. Rose, Heavenly, and Alpine Meadows. Had a free car and a free place to stay for the trip. Amazing. The first time I've actually stayed on a couch when couchsurfing. Delicious.
Palmer, Alaska: August 2004, and August 2005.
Stayed for two weeks each time. Hiking and taking pictures in Denali National Park, as well as Seward and Valdez. The couch ended up being an RV which was nice. Most amazing experience to date.
San Jose, California: March 2003
Couch was actually the bare floor, but was very thankful for that. Was able to visit Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Carmel, and nothern Oregon. Many good friends made on trip, exceeded expectations tenfold.
