About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel South East Asia this year and experience the ''castaway'' trip in Ha Long Bay :)

ABOUT ME

I am adventurous and loves to travel a lot. Backpacking travel, outdoor activities and mountaineering are my kinds of relaxation from my very busy and hectic schedule. I can also easily adjust my lifestyle depending on what place I am in.

PHILOSOPHY

Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anyone else expects of you. Never excuse yourself.

One travels more usefully when alone, because he reflects more.

Total freedom is priceless.

Travel is Rebellion in its Purest Form
We follow our heart
We free ourselves of labels
We lose control willingly
We trade a role for reality
We love the unfamiliar
We trust strangers
We own only what we can carry
We search for better questions, not answers
We truly graduate
We, sometimes, choose never to come back

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am very eager to explore the unknown and I've visited lots of different places already. I meet people from all over the world and I try to communicate with them to have a better understanding of their culture and for me to have more backpacker friends that has a common goal in this CS community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to Palawan with my 2 new CS friends (I haven't met them yet personally) and they gave me a free round trip plane ticket. I traveled with them for almost 9 days and I met a lot of other CSers during my backpacking trip there.

Traveled with fellow CS'ers that I met in Mountain Province, Philippines for 8 days.

Hosted and spent good times with Ania Grenda from Poland in Pampanga and Manila for 3 days.

I guided a lot of CS backpackers here in Manila. Too many to mention it all :P

Hosted and had a good time in Manila with Pauline Porro for 3 days. She also taught me how to play ukulele :)

Hosted Skye for 1 night here in Manila :)

Travelled to Puerto Princesa and El Nido Palawan together with 3 couchsurfers. I had really good time with them specially when we camped in an island in El Nido :)

Interests

I spend my free time playing my drums, backpacking and mountain climbing. I also enjoy wakeboarding and surfing. I also collect a lot of outdoor equipment and gears.

Music, Movies, and Books

Rock alternative music, acoustic, reggae and other chill techno musics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every time I summit a mountain, it feels amazing because I conquer not only the mountain, but also my self limits. Seeing also the Enchanted River in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur left me awestruck because of its amazing light-dark blue crystal clear color.

Camped in an isolated island in Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental and in Palawan.

Saw some green bioluminescent planktons in Pinagbuyutan island, El Nido Palawan.

Traveling alone and no one knows where I am for almost 9 days. I have new sets of friends that I met along the way and I realized that total freedom is priceless! ;)

Learned some tricks in wakeboarding.

Being totally drunk in an airplane (3x already) :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my knowledge as an electrical engineer, teach you how to play guitar or drums (especially when I am hosting you) and explain our culture as a Filipino. I can also teach you how to cook some of our local dishes here and share my travel experiences.
