About Me

Born and raised in Manchester in the North West of England, I'm a 33-year-old world traveler who just can't slot into the 9 to 5.

I unplugged myself from the matrix in 2015 and I've never looked back. I've visited 32 countries and can't see myself stopping anytime soon.

I LOVE to write (fiction novels and screenplays) and maintain my online travel blog www.roundtheworldmagazine.com with my fiance of 8 years, Nicola (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/nicola-rowbotham)

People may describe me as 'awake', creative, witty, respectful, mainstream media avoider, self-educator and lots of fun.

I'm also vegan for the animals.

Currently traveling the world with a rough plan (which always changes!):

ICELAND December 2017 - January 2018
SWEDEN January 2018
ROMANIA January 2018
BERLIN January 2018
NORWAY January 2018
USA January 2018 - April 2018
BRAZIL April -May 2018
USA May-August 2018
CANADA August 2018 - February 2019

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The people I have met while traveling, in social areas of hostels, campsites, on 'chicken buses' through Central America, are the best people in the world to me. We're all unplugged living life how we want to live it and I love meeting people who feel the same way as I do.

People who are willing to voluntarily spend time with travelers, offering a room, in their own abodes and living spaces, are the humans I strive to meet.

I'm in love with meaningful conversation and connecting my soul with others. You won't hear me say anything negative as I believe positivity is the key to everything.

I know there are like-minded people out there and I know couch surfing is the gateway to them.

Interests

Writing is my main passion, I love losing myself in my own stories with a bit of rainy Jazz in the background.
I write mostly fiction drama/romance with an LGBTQ theme.

I live, work and breathe to travel with my loved one, we have visited 30 countries together and plan on extending that over the next couple of years.

I love all animals, hiking, camping, family, snow, rain and sharing meaningful conversation.

Teach, Learn, Share

My girlfriend and I are forever striving to inspire others to travel, to go find themselves and live a positive life.
There is nothing more important in the world to us than having an open mind.

Remind yourself that you don't have to do what everyone else is doing.
