About Me

CURRENT MISSION

finish college and figure out what i want to do with my life.

ABOUT ME

i was born and raised my whole life with 5 siblings in a little california hill town. i've always wanted to travel, but always waited for my brothers to come with me. at 21 i decided i couldn't wait for them anymore and visited japan, then the next year i moved to italy.
i lived in a home where there was often an extra body at the table and/or someone extra staying the night. i love visiting friends and being visited.
while living in italy, i have twice been paid visits by different friends from home, we always have good times.
i am the kind of person who hitchikes, sleeps in train stations or on the ground without a tent, starts conversations with strangers, share everything i own, love to cook, love to hike, i have to be in the mood to party and i have to be with friendly people, otherwise i just want to watch a movie or read and go to bed.
i have fallen asleep in a disco on more than one occasion.
i really enjoy the simple, little things in life, like a quality cup of coffee or tea, a stolen bottle of wine, jokes and anecdotes, sunrises and sunsets, someone looking you in the eye when they talk to you, and movies.

PHILOSOPHY

never walk with empty hands. in other words, whatever you're doing, try to include something productive.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i'm not sure that i'm doing anything.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

well, onetime i was in london and my friend said i couldn't stay at her school because there are rules against that, so i stayed with her australian boyfriend and he was so nice, but he took half an hour to tell me to "make myself at home". unnecessary, but i cleaned his kitchen and we had some tea and he loosened up.

Interests

books probably. when i make time for them.
movies, from any country.
food and drink, i like to try wierd food. one time in japan, before they told me what it was, i ate cow penis.
art, not especially but it can be interesting.
mostly i just like conversation. if you have something to talk about, i want to talk about it with you.

Music, Movies, and Books

lots. pretty much anything good (if you are not sure if something falls into the catergory of "good"; it doesn't).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i've seen a thousand faces, and like a thousand brilliant sunsets, they were all memorable in their own way.

Teach, Learn, Share

i don't really know. i think patience is something we should all learn.
maybe english? i have lived with alot of people with new english and helped them improve.
