Hi, I'm a Rowan,

Born and raised Aussie whose been lucky enough to travel around most continents! Recently graduated and now work as a software Engineer in Australia, and just spent 6 months working abroad in the UK.

Love board games, music, getting outdoors, cooking and above all travel! I'm mostly a vegetarian but happy to eat anything (especially when abroad/ trying things for the first time)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Love to travel without a set plan - I've met so many great people and done some amazing things when not sticking to a schedule and taking each day as it comes. I feel like couch surfing is a great way to meet like minded people!

Interests

I love exploring the world, especially while hiking, scuba diving or snow boarding! I also enjoy cooking, games and conversations, dogs and experiencing anything new or out of the ordinary.

A bit of a geek when it comes to star trek/star wars
Love fantasy books and thought provoking ones (recently been reading Sapiens, give it a go if you haven't tried it!)
Love almost all kinds of music, especially anything that can be played on a guitar :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few years ago I visited Kiruna with some friends made on exchange (studied in Sweden for 6 months). It was in the early winter, and we were staying a few hours out of the city in a hut with no electricity or running water. During the short wintery days we would hike around the nearby lakes and mountains and by night we enjoyed the northern lights and conversations by candlelight!
