ABOUT ME

Well, we are both full time students at Valdosta State University. Rhett is a history major. Kate is a nursing major. We met in culinary school so we definitely have a passion for food! We are pretty chill folks, but we stay really busy with work and school.

We love nature so we try to spend as much time as we can doing things outdoors. In the south Georgia heat and humidity, sometimes the outdoors can be less than pleasant.

We have just taken up gardening and we have a small garden from which we enjoy eating. We feel it is important to know where your food comes from, and if it is coming from your backyard...well, we think that's pretty cool.

We have 3 cars that hardly ever get used. We bike or walk wherever we need to go. It's much more convenient--you get in exercise, no worry about finding a parking space--and it saves on gas!

We also have a new found love for running. We are beginners but both hope to one day be able to run a half-marathon. Then, who knows. Maybe a marathon.

Kate doesn't understand the obsession with head/handstands on here.

We love music and try to get to as many shows and festivals as possible! It's relatively difficult now considering we are poor students, but it doesn't stop us from listenin and groovin.

All in all, we are just regular people with likes and dislikes, emotions, knowledge, experiences... and a couch and futon to spare!

PHILOSOPHY

Kate- God put me here to do something. I'm doing it by living the best way I can and trying to make a positive difference/impact on the world. I'm not perfect. I screw up a lot, but I feel like when I get up every morning, it's a new day. It's another chance to get out there, make the right choices and hopefully teach and share whatever I have with others.
