About Me
I love to travel, explore new places, and meet new people. My favorite thing about going to a new place is being able to see how different people can appear.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I learned about couchsurfing at a hostel in Moscow, I believe. A couple from Australia introduced me to the idea, and I've been intrigued by it ever since.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to play marches, anything Sousa or R. B. Hall is great. I listen to classical music (although I'm not to big on some 20th century classical), classic rock, pop, bluegrass, and acoustic music.
I watch all sorts of movies, but I'm not picky at all. The only kind I don't really like is horror/suspense, though. Action, comedy, romance, foreign, they are all fair game, and I am a huge Ghibli fan.
I love to read, although throughout college I haven't had enough time to read for pleasure. In my studies, I've read books such as Mrs. Dalloway, Fragments of Sappho, and Innana. The latest books I've read for pleasure have been Mr. Strange and Dr. Norrel, The Wind in the Willows, and Good Omens. I love reading sci fi books and short stories, they are a welcome relief to reading peer-reviewed journals for my classes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I studied in Russia my host family took me to an old look-out tower in the middle of the woods. It was beautiful to look out over the trees from that height.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be more than willing to share stories or teach anything I know to the people I stay with.
