I am 32 years old, German, living in Berlin – just returned for a few years overseas, living and working in Sydney. I love experiencing new things, even and especially the ones that make you uncomfortable at first because growth does not happen when you stay in your bubble all the time. Although I increasingly enjoyed my bubble, it's just too comfy haha. Luckily Berlin is a city that's very alive and lots of things happen all the time, and new people show up regularly in my life here, so I'll hopefully always manage not to get stuck up.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Cities are not made by their sights but by their people. You discover a country by seeing how the people in it live their daily life, where they eat, how they move around, what they talk about.
Couchsurfing is perfect for expending the horizon. :) That said, I haven't used it in 7 years. I just signed back up here because my friend and I – both currently unemployed – will be visiting Hamburg for OMR, a marketing trade fair that we won tickets for, and we'd love to stay a night longer to experience the city a bit, but could only afford max. 1 night at a hostel, so now we're hoping for a couch to crash on, so that we can have that extra night here to see a bit more. :)
