Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This app was recommended to my ex and i by our friends from international schools and foreign places. I reckoned to give it a try:)

HOW I STARTED:
I found out about it last January 2016.
In February 2016 I downloaded the app and went to one CS event.
By 1st and 2nd week of March 2016, I toured my first 2 Couch Surfers from Japan and Taiwan.
By 3rd and 4th week of March 2016, I was able to Host 4 travelers (3 girls from Russia, 1 girl from America). and toured 2 respectful guys from Poland and Saudi Arabia.
Finally, during Holy Week 2016, i was also able to get to know and befriend a couple from America whom travelled to 39 countries in a span of 10months (they are an inspiration to me, someday i will have someone to travel with me too).

I am relatively a newbie to CS but I will certainly never forget my First month of being an active member. The people i have met and experienced different places and activities with are truly remarkable. I am utterly thankful for the friendship and memories made.

And the rest is History, cheers to more CS experiences 😊

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've survived getting 2 strains of Dengue ( an arbovirus of the Flaviviridae family and Flavivirus genus), First one i fought on my own with just orange juice, gatorade, and milk. Second one, i needed to be admitted to a Hospital due to dangerously low platelet count.

At 17 yrs old, I have survived fighting through Typhoon "Haiyan" a.k.a. "Ondoy" ( September 23, 2009 – September 30, 2009; chest deep, rigorous floods of rapid canal water, rats, and poo.) 😱

Thank God, i wasn't among the 710 fatalities.😇

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to bake with my mom and siblings, I love eating at new places.

I know how to cook Filipino, Fusion Italian, and different Asian cuisines.

I can teach CSers how to explore on a budget and eat yummy food while in my country :)

I can share my learnings in life and our Asian culture to CSers from all over the globe.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will certainly bring a variety of sweets from my beloved country. I'll also bring a unique token from my hometown🙏

I'll be sharing stories, travel tips when going around my home country. Also, business/marketing tips if they want, growing up, i have been exposed to many businesses my family and friends have made.
