I'm just a girl who wished she had an RV to cure my wanderlust one city at a time.

ABOUT ME

I like to think I'm fairly weird and occasionally awkward. I like people. I like volunteerism. I like to be girlie, but I often am considered "one of the boys." I am afraid of heights and spiders. Like seriously I will run from a spider. I am working on the heights thing. I have strange habits... mostly things you wouldn't notice... like walking closest to the wall on the upper levels of the mall or not trying on pants in the store. I am serious when I need to be but any other time I'm being goofy. I think I'm fluent in sarcasm. People say I can look like I am always having a bad day. Therefore I try to smile all the time. Especially now that I've had my jaw broken twice and wired shut once. Yay teeth! My favorite cartoon character is Eeyore. Oh I love cartoons, artsy things, medieval things, fun things, things you like, saying like and um and but and AND...lol... I enjoy hanging out especially if we are having good conversation over a few cocktails. In college my friends deemed me a mixologist... :)

Oh, I am a 5 term AmeriCorps alum! Served in VISTA as well. Lover of all things food. I have a loveable mutt... She gets pretty excited around people and starts to run circles which makes her look scary. I swear all she does is lick my arm, eat, sleep, run and poop. I eat bacon, like all the time! I like to cook and often times try to substitute certain pasta for veggies. I'll try to cook anything. I can NOT bake. I'm working on my SmashBook too.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I like to believe everyone is connected some how... none of us are truly strangers, just friends friends we haven't met yet. I originally started looking into surfing as a bucket list thing. The more I read the experiences of others the more I would like to get to know people from various walks of life. I would like to believe that I already seek to understand others, surfing allows me to be thrown into life as my host or a surfer knows it!

Intereses

I do a lot of work with children. I spend a good amount of time listening to music and watching movies. I'm always looking to try new things. I like to fix things myself... even if I fail at it. Pintrest has given me so many things to do but Im always at work :(

I like to roadtrip and as long as I have time to I will drive anywhere. FOOD. Sitting outside and enjoying nature... except in the winter. I do not like snow... I only tolerate it. People interest me which is why I think both of my jobs hired me, as I like to tell stories and listen to stories people have. My mom has always given me good advice and I have learned a great deal of things, so I try to pass information along.

I'm not even sure I answered the question. You'll notice I ramble sometimes. Okay... all the time :)

I'll be honest I haven't read a book that wasnt related to school in a long time... so right now it would probably be "Disposable People: New Slavery in the Global Economy" by Kevin Bales. Really anything that touches my heart and/or soul... About a boy was fun... and if you've never read a "child called 'it'" growing up, you have no heart lol

I was a music history minor in college so I love to hear everything.

I haven't done many exciting things outside of volunteering- One time I did sleep in an abandoned school on an army cot while participating in service.
