About a year after finishing up university, I left the UK for Asia, which has been my base ever since. I have taught English in China, on and off, for the past eight years, with extended breaks for traveling in between, the longest being around 18 months. The ancient town of Dali, Yunnan is my usual home in China.

Aside with teaching kids, I spend my days studying Chinese and Japanese, hiking through Cang Shan, reading, and, always, trying to write -- its my dream to publish a novel someday. While here my life is pretty simple and quiet, but I travel every chance I get.
