ABOUT ME

history boy, interested in ancient Chinese history, Asian history;
when i was in Ho Chi Minh City, I talked about wars between Vietnam and France, US and China. We learned a lot from each other, and have a better understanding of what happened decades ago. I really appreciated my experience in the Cu Chi tunnel yesterday.

Interests

1. photography, i don't like posed pictures. i like napshots of what is happening around me then post those pictures on Weibo or Wechat, to share with my friends.
2. body building, -- i am not doing very well at it now. but i keep trying...
3. swimming - i was afraid of water very much, since i was born in northern part of china, where you find not much waters. but i learned by chance in 2012. and i love it. i am not a good swimmer now. but every time i travel i take my swimming suit with me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

a solo motocycle tour from Kashgar, Xinjiang, along the ancient silk roak, all the way back to beijing, over 4000km. i stayed with local Uygers and other ethnic Chinese for the nights.
One thing I learned, people living in the countryside are so nice, everywhere you go, you feel the same feeling of no-gap between you and me - no matter how we are different in languages, food habits, religions, or cultures...
There is a bigger gap among those who are living in a metropolitan city. Many security personnel there, a lot surviellance devices here and there, everything is monitored, and people are alert against each other for their personal security concerns.
