About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Tap into my whirlpool of thoughts and start writing again

ABOUT ME

I enjoy the little things in life.
Artistically inspired, I can spend hours in a museum/art gallery. Curious by nature, the need to know is to understand. Adrenaline junkie. Prefers bars/chillout lounges to clubs. Decent conversations. I love vintage. Some times I think I am born in the wrong era. Friends say I am a free spirit. I live by my values. Realist.I don't believe in first impressions because people can always surprise you. Strong believer of Karma. Hey! Everyone's got a story to tell. Oh, I can be sarcastic ... at times.
Perceptive. Every little detail, every individual who have crossed my path at least once, play a significant role in the formation of my character today. I see myself as an all-rounder. There are times when I wish the world would not be as discriminative as it is, and Politicians would not be as stupidly self-centered as they are. What can one do to make people see, to make them understand? Beyond the luxurious life is a huge population around the globe, pleading for help. Humanitarian causes grasped my attention. Traveling has opened the windows of my soul to a myriad of possibilities.

I love meeting people from all walks of life, learning about different cultures. I believe age is not a factor when it comes to engaging into meaningful, intellectual conversations. Experience and wisdom play primary roles.I have occasional carb cravings, and I can go on a 100% Sushi Diet. Vegetarian most of the time, with occasional exceptions. Love a good Chapati with curry, and a feast of grilled veg.I juggle a multi-tasked/role lifestyle, hence I would like to apologise in advance if it might take me days to reply a message, or if I turn down any requests.Thank you for reading!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to look at the positive side of everything. I see problems as Challenges, and to overcome them successfully will only open another door for me in life. To treat everyone equally without any form of racism or discrimination. I am really easy to get along with, but there's always a limit. I seek to inspire and to be inspired in return.I live my Life the way I want to - Life is too short to be someone else!" I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they are right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together" -Marilyn Monroe-"I like nonsense. It wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living. It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope - which is what I do. And that enables you to laugh at life's realities."-Dr. Seuss-

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Back in my uni days, I have hosted a number of surfers. However, it is kind of difficult for me to do so after I started working due to my unpredictable insane working hours. And I really do not want to reject a surfer at the very last minute.Aside from that, I have also organised a few of KL's famous CS Picnics at the KLCC Park, before we got chased away and "banned from gathering in groups on the park" even though we were only sitting on the grass, eating, chatting away happily and cleared out all our litter leaving the area as it was after we were done. Bah! Party-poopers!
In addition to that, my first and only "FREE HUGS" session around KLCC was quite a hit too!Occassionally, I organise outdoor activities - most recent being the Skytrex Extreme Challenge early this year (2011), and foodie outtings. I think most tourist buy whatever Lonely Planet recommended in terms of gastronomical advise, hence leading to eatery outlets overpopulated by tourists, resulting to jack up of price. I prefer pointing people to "hidden gems", serving scrumptious yet reasonably (cheap) priced food!Being an ardent traveller myself, I would read up insane amount of information before my travels, then join the country/city's CS group, thus lending a helping hand to other tourists posting up questions and requiring information about the country. Weird, I know. Hah!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have almost 5 years worth of stories to share.Let's grab a drink and compare!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking BURMA
Dancing in/Opening the 2009 Vienna Opera Ball in the Opera House

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to dance. You have to be brave, bold and patient at it ;)I want to learn about the different cultures of the world. Each individual is distinct (that's the way I see it). I am a complete nerd and can spend hours in a museum. Also attempting to learn German (finished my A1 level with Goethe), and most probably taking up Spanish and Chinese.I can share stories from various life experiences - I've been told that I surprise most people as I am not what they assumed I am/was. Time, information, I'll even share my food! :D
