Hey everyone, my names is Royce.
I'm super new to the travelling at the moment and l am about to embark on my first ever solo trip to another country (latin and south America :) ). Always appreciate a good conversation and love listening to everyones stories.
l'm keen to learn as much as l can about different cultures and people as l can in my travels so l hope l get the chance to listen to and share some amazing experiences with some people on here and see what this is all about.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

l jumped on CouchSurfing after recommendations off a few friends and their wonderful experiences with it.
During my travels this year l am looking to see the places l visit much more through the eyes of a local then a tourist, l enjoy learning the local history of different villages and cities and appreciate the advice of locals on the do's and don'ts of the area l am visiting as well as recommendations for places to see that are not to often visited.

Music, Movies, and Books

My all time favourite book would have to be The Alchemist which has inspired my trip abroad.
l quite enjoy audiobooks so l listen more then l read, you could say l'm a great listener :).
For music l usually enjoy everything, depending on the place and the mood l'm in my preference for music varies, however l must say l have never really liked dubstep or hardcore...

Favourite movie of all time is Point Break (the newest one), because l enjoy the concept behind it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After reading the Alchemist twice l left my job, packed up my life and bought a 1 way ticket to Mexico with no previous travel experience and no set destination. Just a decision to see as much of latin and south america as l possibly can.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Up until now l have worked as a bartender, a labourer and an electrician. l am fairly good with my hands and have a strong work ethic so in exchange for accomodation perhaps l can help you with something around the house. l am of course also open to hosting when l come back to Australia.
