ABOUT ME

Wide eyed with anticipation of the world.

People tell me I'm really funny. I like to laugh. I make a conscious choice to believe that people are inherently good and honest, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. I am so socially awkward it is painful to watch. Four-square rocks my socks. Sometimes I dance around the house with my dogs in my underwear making up songs to sing to them. I like big words. I love boardgames and card games. I think a lot about being a good person. I find inappropriately long naps in public places immensely satisfying. I consider my hair as an arts and crafts project.

I refuse to settle for anything less than spectacular anymore.

I lied about how tall I was until recently, mostly because I hadn't actually measured until recently.

Mostly, I surf. With all of these wonderful, beautiful, amazing people in the world with couches to spare, why stay in cold personality lacking hotel rooms?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted my friends and acquaintances through my years in college and recently started surfing when camp sites are sparse during my travels. Everyone I have met has been open and inviting.

I have boxes and boxes of books neatly packed for where ever I manage to land for more than a year. I should really just get an e-reader, but I love the feel and the smell of paper books. I like to line them up in neat little rows and trace my finger over their spines... stroke the pages... Especially second hand books, each person leaves a little bit to themselves in a book when they read it and I think about how that volume had been loved of hated or rejected with disinterest.

I have wide and varied taste in music. I have always had a wide and varied taste in music. Pandora Radio is one of my favorite inventions ever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day, my partner and I went for a pre-dawn drive on the parkway to an overlook that was referred to as "The Happy Place." That morning we watch the most absolutely stunning sunrise, I cried, literally.
