ABOUT ME

I'm a writer, reader, tea drinker and day-dreamer. Me and my partner Mike have just moved to New Zealand on a working/holiday visa. We're travelling around a bit and then hoping to settle in Wellington (or wherever we can find work!) I like to learn about myself from other people and change for the better. I like swapping things - if you cook me dinner, I'll write you a limerick.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was introduced to it though my sister and it sounds like a really great idea. At the moment with being in New Zealand we're hoping to meet interesting people and see great places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had some great experiences - especially in Amsterdam, where we met a fantastic couple and actually ended up attending their wedding four years later!

Interessen

I enjoy writing, cycling, reading, making things (quilts, scarves, books and cushions), cooking, drinking tea, music, baking, gardening, walking, talking, listening, drinking beer, dancing, singing badly, getting to know new people, finding new music, finding new hobbies, camping, getting to know nature.

Murakami, Orwell, David Mitchell, Louis De Bernieres, The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Northern Lights. Normally the last book I've read is my favourite.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

The Northern Lights in Iceland - we were lucky enough to get a glimpse of a solar storm, completely unforgettable.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I can teach folk songs, how to bake, cook, knit, sew, play one song on the Ukulele...

I'd love to learn new languages, recipes, ideas and ways of living.
