About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Get rid of most of my belongings, pack up a '95 subaru, and take a very long road trip across the US. Ultimately, I want to semi-permanently relocate to somewhere other than the East coast.
ABOUT ME
It has been my very great privilege to have visited 14 countries, lived in 4, and met such a great number of amazing people. After the last 3 years of living in Rochester NY, working a desk job, and saving money, I'm more than ready to start a new adventure. Even though I've done a bit of travelling, I've never traveled much in my own home country. I'm a huge history nerd, and I am pretty happy to wander around a city or a museum for a day. Naturally a bit of an introvert, I find that the most rewarding experiences are outside of my comfort zone.
I pack light and I'm pretty low maintenance. I have a sleeping bag, pillow, bed roll, tent, lantern, and about 50 books on a kindle. I'm more of a morning person but I can lounge like a champ if that's what you're into. I can live on luna bars and and trail mix but I love good food (especially large breakfasts).
PHILOSOPHY
Life is too important to take seriously.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've slept on Couch Surfer's couches in about 8 different countries and met some of the most incredible people. I've never had my own place, so unfortunately I haven't been able to host anyone yet, but I've had a great time in various meetups in Rochester and the Netherlands. I'm pretty convinced that couchsurfers are the nicest, wackiest, kindest, enthusiastic, most genuine population out there.

Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot of random historical facts. Also, I can teach you how to tap dance, wiggle your ears, and play the flute (although not simultaneously).
I love going to the market, getting some fruits and veggies, and cooking up a meal with my hosts. And afterwards - I will do the dishes!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Vegetarian meals (I eat meat! I just don't know how to cook it...)
Swing/tap dancing lessons
