About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Planning a three month world tour! Thinking either a bike tour through Europe or a few months in Argentina to learn Spanish and tango dancing!
ABOUT ME
I was born outside Detroit, grew up downriver, lived in New York, Hungary, Park City and now am in LA as a geneticist. I love exploring, doing new things and learning about peoples' stories. Recently I have taken up rock climbing, I have guest passes to the climbing gym, so let's go!
I love my friends and family, and not living near them is sad, but luckily I get to travel and see them all around the country on a regular basis. I always have some project or another in the works. I like to work hard all day and sit back and relax all night. I will take any excuse to go outside hiking or on an overnight backpacking trip.
There is an amazing desert oasis near Los Angeles with a hot spring that you have to hike into, it may be one of my favorite places on earth!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
It's been a while since I have surfed, but I spent three months crossing the US when I moved out to LA surfing the whole time! Now I'm giving back to the community by hosting people!
My wife and I are planning to do a European tour on our bicycles soon! So if we host you and you're from Europe, we may be asking you for recommendations and may get to visit you on your local turf in the near future!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have never had a bad experience with CS, in fact, many of my best memories have come about by way of those I have met.
Here is the best couch request that I ever received!
"Look at your couch,
Now back at me,
Now back to your couch,
now back to me,
sadly i'm not on your couch
Where are you?
You are in Los Angeles with a lovely couch.
look down, back up.
Whats that in your hand?
it's a computer with which you can answer me.
Everything is possible when you host an austrian couchsurfer and adventurer.
I'm on a trip."
Interests
I enjoying cooking, cycling, crafting and love photography, swimming and sailing and pretty much anything outdoors. My favorite all time thing to do is backpacking far in the wilderness with a group of friends. There is nothing better than being out of it all with those you care most about without the interruptions of schedules and phones.
I love going new places and meeting new people, ideally via my road bike. I enjoy multi-day rides where I need to bring my tent and stove along. It's been a long time since I've done a ride like that, but am planning on for the end of this year!
I also love dancing, I lived in NYC for a number of years and learned how to swing, blues and a little salsa and tango.
