Love nature, animals, places with great natural vistas, outdoonlr activities whether it's paragliding hiking, trekking, rclimbing, cycling, traveling etc. Used to race motorcycles until I discovered the joy of flight. I am also a trained and certified paraglider and paramotor pilot.

I will read anything, really! Muscially I am into metal, a lot of European and Swedish bands work for me. Favorite new bands at the moment are Sabaton, HammerFall, Dream Evil, and Therion (all of them somehow happen to be Swedish). Favorite bands of all time are Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Sabaton, Therion, Rush, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Megadeth, King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Doro.

I don't even know where to begin... My unrelenting quest for adventure has led to getting caught in a civil war, getting abducted, walking through waterfalls, irking an absolute dictator, kidnapping a policeman on duty, camping by a phosphorescent ocean, watching green turtles hatch, running the North Korean marathon, hiking to the source of the Nile, sailing on a polar expedition around Greenland, camping by a burning crater, meeting armed warlords, crossing river borders on a dugout rowboat, climbing a live volcano, living in ancient monasteries, living in a meteorite crater ecosystem, visiting occupied lands in Palestine, getting lost and chased by angry snakes in a tropical rainforest, sheltering in abandoned mineshafts, getting married to my soulmate, discovering glow-worm tunnels, ascending lava tunnels in the indian ocean, getting chased by hungry lions, crashing motorcycles at the racetrack, flying paramotors and paragliders above some amazing landscapes... and living to tell the tale.

I participated in scientific expeditions which are primarily focused and oriented towards conservation of aquatic and marine wildlife in extreme polar environments. We have been involved with the National Geographic Society and Russian Geographic Society to measure the impact of global warming on the polar ice caps, meltrate of glaciers on Svalbard, Greenland, Novaya Zemlya and Svernaya Zemlya, routes of polar bear migration, narwhal conservation etc. In Africa I was involved in building clean water projects and water purification projects for communities in rural sub-Saharan Africa.

I love teaching and jump on it whenever I get a chance. I would love to give talks and raise awareness and have been giving lecture sessions to closed groups interested in extreme travel. I found that most of the scientists and climate researchers I traveled and worked with are vegetarian or vegan. It's another way I try to link both my different lives together.
