CURRENT MISSION

To live life to the fullest and make the most out of every day. My life mission is to explore this beautiful planet as much as I can and live in several different countries. So far I've visited around 50 countries and lived in three countries, so I might be on the right track :)

ABOUT ME

I'm currently a Master's student in University of Turku, Finland. However, this year I am studying in Taipei, Taiwan and travelling around ;) This is something I have to do before graduating and entering the work life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Any time I have chance to travel, I'll do it, no matter what the destination is. Internationality and traveling are my spice of life. I've realized that even though I am busy with my work & studies etc. and do not have time to travel, I can bring internationality to my home trough CS.

In my experience nothing makes a better guide to a foreign city/country than a local. Through CS I personally hope to get friends and friends all over the world, spread the finnish culture and also teach people what this little country called Finland is all about.

At the moment my main interests traveling, marketing, fitness, and of course our little dog. I love animals and I my first job was dogsitter/catsitter. When traveling, I enjoy tasting local foods and see the daily life of locals.

I enjoy different kinds of movies. The genre is not important when the movie is brilliantly made. My favorite movies are Saw series, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Inception, The Social Network, Remember Me, 500 Days of Summer, Mr. Nobody, Slumdog Millionaire, Vanilla Sky, and several others.

I used to read a lot as a child, but nowadays I am trying to read books that expand my view of life even a little bit. Those books are hard to find, but one that changed my thinking most is 4 Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss. I warmly recommend it to everyone.

The summer I spent in California in 2011 changed me a lot not only as a traveller but also as a person. In December 2013 I went back to the USA for a road trip from Miami to LA. The USA is one of my favorite countries to travel because it's so diverse and full of natural and not-so-natural beauty ;)

In 2015 I lived in Taipei, Taiwan for three months and studied Mandarin Chinese full-time. It was amazing to see that I was able to learn this "impossible" language.

I also feel that every trip I've taken has been amazing in their own way. Some highlights include pyramids in Cairo, the vibe of New York City, one amazing spa experience in Marrakesh, a cooking course in Catania and of course my two months trip in South East Asia.

I know a thing or two about cooking but I am willing to learn more about it and especially about how different nationalities cook! I speak several languages and I am happy to teach you some basics.
