About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live fruitfully!

ABOUT ME

I just visited Bangladesh (for a grand wedding) and Nepal (for some trekking, 5416m!) and now I am just visiting a few places in Europe before heading home to Boston.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to find out about where people live and why they live there. And then, when I return to home/find a new home, I'll make sure to keep in mind the comfort of a wayward traveler when I buy a couch.

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up without a TV most of my childhood and, while I enjoy watching movies, I sometimes feel like I could be doing more productive/important things with my time, so I usually stay away from them.

Books, on the other hand, were everywhere as I was growing up. My Mother ran a bookstore in the downstairs of our house and there was a constant influx of books. I want to read at least one nationally important book in each country I go.

I love all kinds of music. Ethnic/folk/traditional music is so great and a fun way of interacting with new culture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some of the most amazing times in my life have been sailing in open ocean. I haven't done this enough times, but the feelings and physicality of the times I have were overwhelming. When I've returned to land my body seems to want to return to the landlocked rural town I grew up in and fall asleep, while my mind wants to be back out on the boat with no land in sight. Interesting feeling, certainly.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bermuda, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, Croatia, France, Iceland, India, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Russian Federation, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, France, United States
