About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have fun, relax, and make the best of every situation

ABOUT ME

I currently live in Guanajuato, Mexico with my boyfriend. I am a laid back, yoga-loving person with a great interest in education. I used to be a social studies teacher in South Texas (RGV) and loved the job. I now study the history of education in relation to migrant children.

PHILOSOPHY

Try to see the lighter side of every situation and live with calm

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

An amazing Nepali woman let me stay with her family during the Tihar holidays. Her family lived in the midst of a rice paddy in the Nepali countryside. They truly treated me like part of their family and I treasure that experience.

Interests

I love cooking international foods (I studied at cooking school in Thailand for a bit), dancing flamenco, doing yoga, and travelling (of course)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending Tihar with the family of an amazing Nepali woman, named Usha, a great friend of mine I met in Nepal, then backpacking with her to Annapurna base camp and back over the course of almost two weeks. Her nine-year old daughter also used to teach me Nepali.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can make some great traditional Mexican enchiladas, good thai curry, and many other dishes. I'd be happy to cook for people, as well as teach English or Spanish (those are my best languages). I could also teach some basic flamenco if interested.

Chile, Ecuador, India, Nepal, Thailand, Viet Nam
