ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Tim and I live with my partner, Freddy. I take care of kids and I draw comics, make zines, read, cook, and bike. Freddy serves at a French restaurant on the weekends and spends the rest of his time reveling and cooking. We both like our cat, Tiefel, who is currently curled in a cute ball on the couch. We try to stay healthy and eat our green leafies by the pound.

PHILOSOPHY

There's a collection of ideals that if taken good care of, they'll hopefully do the same for me later on: pacifism, absolute liberty and equality, mindfulness, solidarity, DIY ethic, simplicity... I hate to think that things like punk culture and radical politics are supposed to dissolve away once one has 'grown up' and accepted 'the way things are'-- I believe that, as forms of resistance, they'll continue to live strong in one way or another over time. Rad!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Crashing in a tastefully-decorated hookah room of a host in Chicago for three nights-- this is lacking at a Super 8 Motel!

Interests

Tim: Comix, dinosaurs, good simple food, klezmer/Balkan-punk/old-time/folkgrass muzak...
Freddy: always changing--why keep focus? some days I want to read the bible, other days on the sociology of violent women, and then tennessee williams. somedays I want to listen to damia, other days rima khcheich, and then james brown. what can you do? read and listen.
