About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To seize the day
ABOUT ME
I recently graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN where I am majored in International Relations and Latin American Studies and moved to New Orleans. Originally from Mexico, I moved to the US and have learned to balance both cultures. Since I go back to Mexico a lot, this has led me to have a passion for traveling, learning about new cultures, and just be open minded about a lot. I absolutely love meeting people from all around the world and hearing about their experiences and adventures.
PHILOSOPHY
You only live once so it's imperative to seize the day. There is so much to see, so much to learn, and so many people to meet before you get settled in.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have opened up my home and my couch to travelers who want the see what the South has to offer.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have met some amazing people throughout the country! Even though I have only hosted, I can tell that surfers think alike and are extremely nice! It's been great!
Interests
Like I said before, I love traveling. I especially love countries in Latin American because of their unique history and the diversity of cultures found within. I love learning new languages, hence learning to speak French and the Portuguese and absolutely love trying world cuisine. One of my favorite things to do is working with immigrant communities around the world. I do a lot of service in my community, but nothing combines my passion for serving the immigrant community like doing it abroad--it opens doors for me to learn about a country, its culture, its language, the history, and most importantly, its people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bungee-jumping of a bridge in Costa Rica into a river filled with crocodiles was perhaps one of the craziest things I have ever done. Watching the sunset in the Andes Mountains was perhaps the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Watching the sunlight hit ruins of Incans and the 1000 year old lakes and trees made me think that we are all connected by history, time and the air that we breath.
