Overview
About Me
I am a 31 yr. old female who quit my job at the end of last year to do some traveling and go on adventures. I am a Returned Peace Corp Volunteer. I taught Math to Jr. High Students in West Africa and it was absolutely incredible. I am also fluent in Krio, but Couchsurfing doesn't allow that as an option!
I worked with a renewable energy company in Washington DC and also have some experience with project management of solar energy projects.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and my goal is to stretch my money as far as I can while having some great experiences.
As a returned Peace Corps Volunteer, I am very low maintenance and have often had many fellow volunteers, as well as strangers, sleeping on my floors and couches whenever anyone needs a place. I'm a fan of paying it forward and think that this is a super economical way to travel and meet awesome people.
Interests
I am currently most interested in learning Spanish, so I try to study some and speak as much as possible.
I also enjoy reading, sports, music, live music, good food/drinks, and meeting new people and hearing their stories.

Music, Movies, and Books
This is my least favorite question ever since I like most everything. Except super heavy metal and horror movies (though I should give them another try).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took donated money and managed a project to build a library out of sticks and thatch for a muslim elementary school behind my house.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share many stories (many are hilarious) of what life is actually like in West Africa, but I also love to listen to other people's stories.
