ABOUT ME

Erm... Is this thing on?
Okay, so hi! I'm Ari (actually Ruari, most people don't call me that). I'm 19 and I live in a small town on the west coast of Scotland.
So what can I tell you about me? Well I've just finished college, hoping to go to university depending on my results to study either social sciences or English literature.
I sing all the time (trying to teach myself proper singing technique... it's not going well). I play a lot of video games (especially survival horror games and RPGs).
I drink far too much caffeine, go out with my friends as often as possible, and I chew gum because I like to imagine myself as a beatnik or a male Joni Mitchell. I prefer the cold to warmth unless I'm in bed and I hate to wear my glasses in public.
So... Yeah. That's me. I'm pretty done writing here.

Interests

Hmm... this depends on what one considers to be interesting. I read a lot, but that's more of an escape mechanism. Like I said I like to play video games and I'll play any king that isn't a generic first-person shooter. I like to write stories for my friends, which I assume they enjoy since I've had no complaints yet. I like getting lost in unfamiliar places, since it satisfies the wanderlust I don't have the money to feed. I sometimes draw, take photographs and paint when I get a bout of self-expression, but I usually quit while I'm ahead. I like going for walks in the country or along the shore, dancing with my earphones in and going to the cinema to see foreign films.....
I promise I'm not as pretentious as I sound.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The one amazing thing I've seen or done is probably being with friends driving across the Mojave desert. It was the middle of Summer and we were dying from the heat but I've genuinely never been happier.

Skills? Err... Well I'm a pretty good ballet & tap dancer? I can play violin? I know a lot of Scottish folk songs? Would anyone want to be taught these things?
