About Me

I am a friendly and outgoing young professional who recently graduation from The University of Auckland, New Zealand. I live in a flat of 6 people - 3 young professionals and 3 students (also 3 boys and 3 girls).

We are all passionate travellers who love meeting new people and showing them our beautiful country + culture. We love playing board games and cooking dinner together, we are like a big family and would love to host travellers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to Couchsurfing and I like the idea behind it. Travelling is one thing, but experiencing a new place alongside someone with local knowledge can be a life-changing experience! It is also an opportunity to meet new people and share knowledge between cultures. Couch surfing provides a unique opportunity to make great friendships and networks all over the world. I really enjoyed couchsurfing in Europe and now would like to return the favour

Interests

I've recently gotten really into surfing and I love being out in the ocean. It's even better on a rainy day when I would otherwise be inside.

I love meeting new people! I have always enjoyed interacting with people and working in customer service, retail and promotions because I love help others and be inspired by another persons journey.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I challenged myself last year to not buy any new clothes, only second hand! I did this to support sustainability and ethical supply chains. It was hard but I managed to do it, and I enjoyed shifting my values towards items that mean more to me than following trends.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share knowledge about my home country, I can teach you some of the native language (Maori) as I grew up at a bilingual school. I would be more than happy to cook a meal. I always love listening and learning about new cultures and traditions and going on adventures together but I am also self-sufficient and am happy to explore on my own.

Countries I’ve Visited
