About Me

I'm 24 and i was born in Mexico, i only started traveling last year after i graduated from civil engineering. After doing some volunteer work in an environmental research center in Germany i moved to Canada to start my master's degree in environmental eng. and water resources.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am completely convinced that traveling and meeting new people will help me to develop a more sensitive approach to the problems i will face in my personal and professional life, you can learn a lot just by having conversations with someone with a different point of view of the world, and with a whole different cultural background.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This probably doesn't fit as an amazing thing but it was really fun and it's the first thing that came to my mind;

A few months ago i was volunteering in a little town in Germany and one of the group leaders really needed someone to take his car to the other part of the town. Now naturally when someone says driving it Germany you think of a BMW going on a highway with no speed limit, but this was not the case at all, the car that he needed me to drive and he described as a "mafia car" was something like a 1970 volkswagen golf, and i did not care at all, after he asked me if i had a drivers license and i said yes (but didn't specify it was one from Mexico and probably expired) he handed me the keys and i started the car as soon as possible just to be able to say LOOK, IM DRIVING IN GERMANY. I know it doesn't sound amazing at all but it's one of those fun little things you didn't expect you'd get a chance to do, even when you panic for not knowing the meaning of some street signs and you ignore them and keep driving (also hoping the car doesn't fall apart since it keeps making noises). And of course after i came back to the workcamp i told everyone about my adventure.
