Opened couchsurfing account many years ago, but I didn't really use it until very recently (Feb. 2022). So one might say that I am a new one here.
So far I have had a very positive experience with couchsurfing, and have met some very good friends through it.
Couchserfing for me is a way to meet new people in the cities I visit, get to know the local culture (which is very difficult to do all on your own), show people around my city, ake friendships, and I guess that's all.
A couple of things about myself. I guess I might say that I am mostly a positive and optimistic person. Meeting people of kindred soul is one thing I enjoy the most.
I like traveling, reading books, doing research, teaching, helping others, and, of course, tasting good wine and petting cats.
