My name is Rubén and I'm from the north of Spain, from one small city called Ponferrada, but I'm living here in Madrid since four years because I'm studiying Art History at Madrid university.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I'd like to live a new experience and know new people around the world.
For me, the best thing in this world is travel and learn things from other people and cultures. For these reason I think that couchsurfing is the perfect way to travel and one perfect way to know new people, make friends and enrich my self. I love to be a host and try to help other people to live good experiences, to feel confortable during their journey. I love to show Madrid because I'm really in love with this city and also to show spanish culture in exchange to hear about where you are from.

Interests

I'm a lover of all the arts, doesn't matter what kind of art (painting, sculpture, music , cinema, architecture , literature, perfomance, fashion...). Also I love history, writing, drwawing, cooking and gastronomy...But if there are one thing that I really love is to hear about the things that I don't know and learn hearing other people, therefore I would love to hear about your interests and what do you do, don't mind if it is chemical, or dancing! I'm shure that anything will be interesting to hear !

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love to listen music and if it is in live still better ! I use to listen jazz, bossa nova, french and italian music, some pop, oldies, reggae, classical music, piano, rock...
Also I love to go to cinema and watch films at home with popcorns; I really love french cinema like Jean Pierre Jeunet, of course Amelié! I'm a big fan of Woody Allen, Tim Burton, Stanley Kubrick, Almodóvar, Fellini or Paolo Sorrentino... I also love classical movies in black and white or mude cinema. But always there are one director or movie that surprise me!
With regard to books an literature I love poetry, classicals of the literature... I love to read about history or art, history, historical novels or phylosophy. Also I love to be informated and always I'm reading some article or newpaper!
