Hello, I'm Ruben from the Netherlands.

I study Industrial Product Design & Mechanical Engineering and I love to make and listen music in my spare time. I also do sports like mountainbiking, boxing, fitness and running.

From young age I have been doing unusual things. I have for example: done firefighting from my 12th, jumped out of a plane with a parachute in my own, have done Inline Hockey in our national competition and flew a few planes, glinders and even a Apache helictoper in a simulator.

Since I started my Bachelor, a lot of spare time and money got into my education because of the increased difficulty. Unfortunatelly by this cause, I wasn't able to succeed with my journey to try new things and had to focus on school. Now, a few years later I realised I have to go on with this and make time for it. Trying new things suchs as sports and local habbits but also visiting beautiful places and meet new people, make me a happy person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to find the real pearls of the world. Not only the touristic and well known places but I want to hear from the locals what I have to see. I also want to give people the chance to do the same in my "country / area"
