Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Which way I should find out how's the US if I'm not hanging out with some residents? My travels teached me that that's the way to go if you wanna have the full experience of the country you're in! Aswell it's beautiful to know people all over the globe and I love to be a host and show people I met on the nice place I'm living at.
Of cause money plays a roll too, I'm traveling on a limited budget and I rather spend my bucks for good food and transport (to see more).
