ABOUT ME

Travelled around for 22 months in 05/06, hitting about 55 or so countries! Since then I've been to Bali, Japan, and Fiji. Hopefully many more to come... I like to try to find the humour in a situation and enjoy getting out and being active!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with many awesome people during my time in Europe and Asia, and have always had a great time getting that "local experience". I have hosted when I can, but unfortunately my situation currently makes this awkward...

Interests

Enjoy seeing new areas, interacting with people, checking out fascinating fauna (and flora) and generally just having a good time! Enjoy a beer or two... Wanna learn to surf, I like fishing and hiking and most outdoor-type things and events.

Music, Movies, and Books

Blues Brothers, The Usual Suspects, The Shawshank Redemption, Seven, The Castle. The Bourne Trilogy (the books), the Godfather books, and have recently been getting into novels by James Patterson. Like rock, reggae, a bit of pop, and am even starting to branch out (mildly) into r'n'b, and hip-hop. Lately have also been endeavouring to read all the classics that were forced on me during school, only this time I'm REALLY enjoying them!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been nearly killed in a bicycle accident, requiring spinal surgery to stay alive and walk! This has greatly changed my outlook on life and made it easier to sell everything and use the money for travel...
Latest is being nearly killed on a motorcycle! Maybe I should stick to four-wheeled modes of transport...
